Size for movement, landings and the features you ride.
Freestyle does not always mean the shortest possible board. Rails and presses reward manoeuvrability, while larger jumps demand stability and support.
Jib and press focus
A slightly shorter, softer board is easier to move through rotations and flex into presses. Too short can feel nervous and overload the board.
- Prioritise manageable swing weight.
- Confirm your weight remains inside the exact size chart.
Jump focus
Take-offs and landings benefit from effective edge, support and stability. A neutral length or stronger medium flex can be more useful than aggressive downsizing.
- Larger landings usually reward more platform.
- Match flex to your ability and landing power.
Shape and width
True twins feel symmetrical in either direction; directional twins retain freestyle balance with broader all-mountain use. Wide park boards can be useful for large boots but slower for smaller boots.
Check whether the model is volume-shifted or unusually wide before applying conventional freestyle downsizing. Compare the exact size’s weight and waist-width specifications.
